Normal English would be better. They wouldn't be speaking English anyway, so just lose the dumb accent.

Why do movies that are set in ancient times have the characters speak English with some weird foreign accent?
The foreign accent doesn't make it any more "realistic" since they wouldn't be speaking English at all.
Why not just have them speak normal English? If anything, that would actually be more realistic in a way because at least it conveys the sense that they're speaking in their natural tongue.
