So Konami, Sega, Nintendo, Sony(I think) and some other one all got together and decided to start copyrighting game mechanics. Their goal is ,due to high dev costs, make money off of other developers for using thier ideas in their games.
Remember when Nintendo said they wish they'd copyrighted jumping in video games? Remember the Nemesis System from "LOTF:Shadow of" series? This shit but all the Nip companies are doing it.
