I just loaded into the game and found that there was a server with 6 people already in it. We struggled for a while because the difficulty was to high that we were getting insta killed by every possible shooting, until I discovered the meta strategy of bringing a turret with me. After so many attempts we finbally did it. Glorious day

oh wait, you are playing 1?
1 is indeed a bit shit and has aged a bit poorly
my honest recommendation is that you drop it and try to start with 4. Not really because 4 is "the easiest" game, but because it is by far the most impossible to fuck up and not have a good time as a newbie/beginner, even if its in part because you unlock classes as you go. Once you grab the knowledge and finish 4 on the highest difficulty that's when you try out the rest of the series. Opposite of what this >>526315906 anon says I don't recommend 3 as the starting point because of the bitching I've made ITT about the classes not being intuitive, which will result in frustration for very new players
Although ultimately it doesn't matter that much if you decide to start on 3, 4, any of the untold games or 5, any of the 3ds titles is fine. 1 and 2 have aged very poorly and are better replaced by Untold; and Nexus is a celebration victory lap of the series that you have to play after having enjoyed the rest of the series
but again, ON THE HARDEST DIFFICULTY, VERY IMPORTANT
