You guys realize a lot of these stories are for children up to young adults to try to impart some moral values on them right?
Some of it is mythological accounts of historical events much like the Greek myths are (gods fighting each other are wars between city states).
And on some level trying to explain realities of the world through mythology.
In the ark case it's likely referring to a massive flooding event caused by some natural disaster....a story passed down over and over again.
But other things are pretty damn simple.
>Why do people die?
That's the adam and eve story and it comes with a bonus as to the importance of doing what you're told/obedient.
>Why are there different languages
That's your tower of babel story and the deeper moral there is how multiculturalism destroys great societies.
>Why are those cities in ruins and abandoned
That's your soddon and gamorah tale which combines morals of be a good host and try not to live among degenerates as you might not be as lucky as Lot when shit hits the fan.

It's not the best but it's not the worst. It's pretty good.
Really we should be encouraging Nintendo to try new things with their franchises.
Fanboyism in the form of people who scream and cry when the Zelda game is t just like the last one they played is what stagnates and kills franchises.
I want them to make a new side scroller Zelda like Zelda 2.
Fuck you.

We need to start getting serious about this as a nation.
It boggles my mind that we have people in our highest offices that unironically believe or profess to believe that their religion calls upon them to put the welfare of another nation above their own. To put the welfare of a single group of people over the citizens of their own nation.
And people think this is ok!
I also think that if you have beliefs that may cause you to use your power and influence to try to bring about the end of the world you should also be barred from any and all positions of power.
And lastly those that hold these beliefs should be barred from voting entirely.
Let me be clear, this isn't saying religious people should be barred from office holding or voting but there are certain extremes that we just can't tolerate and survive. Beliefs that put a person's interests outside of their nation is just a ticking timebomb of treason.
We should not tolerate cults of treason.

The argument I heard that seemed sincere basically was one of
>God doesn't owe you an explanation any more than you owe a child an explanation for something you tell them to do or not do.
And of course they have this whole thing of
>Well it's free will and people choosing to do evil!
Funny that any exercise of free will is an evil act. Sure you can freely choose to do what God wants you to do but that's not free will that's basically compelled action.
So the whole ethos really boils down to a worship of power and the authority that power brings.
Sure they go on and on about objective morality and how every human has morality written on their hearts by God but when you show them instances of their God commanding people to do objectively evil shit they run back to
>Well we can't begin to know the reasons but if God said to do it the immoral thing would be to NOT follow the commands.
So don't bother confronting Christians with the problem of evil because in the foundations of their beliefs if they admit it to themselves or not is just a worship of authority.
Remember that the first sin humans ever committed in this religion was disobeying an order.
