If bailouts, subsidies and government grants are considered to be favoritism and market distortions, how can correcting market failures not be considered the same? Keep in mind that Tesla received billions of taxpayer money to keep it afloat. How is this not considered to be favoritism? Is it because it's green tech so it doesn't count?

That image really gets me thinking.
If you were in a situation where you absolutely were to die no matter what, would suicide be a better choice than getting killed? I guess there's a degree of free choice when it comes to suicide, even if it were to be a forced decision, would it be better to off yourself in a situation like that so that nobody has the pleasure of actually killing you? I guess I'd say that suicide would have been better, and then afterwards the guy could shoot your lifeless body but then it would be too late, take away the ability for the guy to kill you and you're dead by own choice, that'd be a huge middle finger to the guy who's going to kill you. Honestly I think I'd choose that over getting killed. And that's not even mentioning the fact that the guy could shoot wrong or whatever and you'd remain alive and you'd need to get shot multiple times before you die, whereas suicide would be a guaranteed death on the first shot to the temple. I'd choose suicide, if I have to be completely honest, either one sucks and I wouldn't really want either, but if I absolutely had to choose, I would go with the suicide. But that's just my opinion.
