No, the game was a complete mess from the start. It feels like at one point it was a totally different sort of experience but then they realized they should just do poe 1 again. The games are really not that different outside of a few mechanics (like how gems work). There's too many opposing design decisions
>we want a more strategic and slow sort of combat
But you're constantly surrounded by monsters because they have a massive aggro radius and are super fast
>we want meanigful power progression that feels rewarding all through the campaing and mapping
But then they added so many different variables that all add to player power and on top they all scale multiplicatively so being able to properly judge how strong a player is during most of their climb is impossible in thus can't really balance the acts
>we want diversity and unique builds where players use a variety of skills
But then we forgot to add any actual incentives so the best way to play becomes just going all in on a single spell or damage type because they didn't design any barriers for doing so
>we want a more hardcore experience where players need to navigate their surroundings and properly adjust gameplay
But then they forgot to fix the screen clutter issue and the best strategy is just to always be moving because there's no way you're going to see a tiny projectivel or some sort of mark under you that you need to get out of because the entire screen is effect vomit
Not to mention that they're no treating this like a beta at all where they need to make constant changes but as if it were a league. Where they only do one giant balance dump at the beginning and that's it. No fucking clue what they're doing but by the time this game releases It's just going to be poe 1 all over again with only a few system changes a new coat of paint. The poe1 community also being nothing but loot addicts who detest any gameplay that isn't just picking up shit from the ground doesn't help either.
