I think objectively i dont want to live in such a disgusting sexist and racist era but also sometimes i think about the general economic circumstances or social atmosphere and feel a little jealous that we live in a less personal, mutually trusting, and more money hungry era incredibly detached from horrors of war disease and genuine poverty. It feels like very very few americans, including me, understand the kind of lifestyles and social atmospheres that people lived before the end of WWII that caused people to live how they did in the 50s and 60s.

But maybe thats just the conservative tradwife propaganda tiktok is feeding me. I dont like believe in the lies that a lot of new right wing grifters sell, a post war era cant be replicated with a war, but i also feel like some aspects of this country are irrevocably slipping out of our fingers
