Because they're taking serious heat, getting caught gaslighting people, getting caught raping their sisters, getting caught sabotaging a core piece of the Linux desktop for a decade.
These people are sexually deviant, and have serious power complexes. Clinical narcissism is just the fucking beginning, like what we've seen with Bichta.
A core piece of understanding what the actual fuck is going on is actually understanding that guy. Understand that Canonical both knew about his actions and have decided to defend him. A dude who literally sexually tortured his 7 year old sisters (and more) like they were in a fairly hardcore BDSM scene.
This is the level of narcissism we are dealing with, this is the level of FUCK YOU, DO AS I SAY we are dealing with. Imagine that for every Bichta in corporate Linux, you have say, three more that are 75% as bad. Five more that are half as bad. Ten more that are "just" your garden variety narcissist.
You guys REALLY need to start understanding more psychology.

said it in the other thread but jannies got to it so I'll say it here too. How can you justify using gnome and/or ubuntu after this shit has come out?
Both of these orgs not just let sister-raper into their midst, but now are actively circling the wagons and covering for the motherfucker.
It would be one thing if he just slipped by HR when he was hired (he didn't, they knew, his record is all over the internet), but now that it is out there and very public, both have decided that it isn't a dealbreaker for them and want you to stop pestering them.
Truly. Even if you excuse is "I don't care, its just software", then use some other fucking software. Its not hard. It is seriously not fucking hard to use a distro other than ubuntu. Its not 2009 anymore, Ubuntu in 2025 is dogshit and actively makes your job worse. And gnome? What the fuck kind of gay ass drug do you need to be on to choose to use gnome when cinnamon/kde/literally anything else exists?
Taking a stance against child torture and rape is one of the easiest things you can do.

They're better than GNOME simply because GNOME went full retard and everyone else saw what happened (mass user exodus, death of the project largely, flight of devs to cinnamon, mate, xfce, cosmic, literally anyfuckingthing else).
Make no mistake, KDE devs would love to purge X11 and make it hard depend on systemd, and make you sign a waiver before use that you support girlcock. They just know that they can't do that and get away with it......yet.
