World War II mentally fucked a lot of Greatest Gen who then either beat their war trauma or emotionally neglected boomers who grew up being raised by the TV instead of parents who cared about them. This is why so many of them hate and resent their children since the government made it illegal to beat and neglect their kids without serves consequences which makes them think of them as “good for nothings” because they weren’t forced to endure the abuse like them. This is obviously a generalization as not every boomer is fucked in the head and not every Greatest Gen war veteran came back mentally scarred from war.
