Reminder /v/ is shit at games and you should ignore their opinions on video game balance.
Sniper is not even one of the stronger classes in game. Heavy is simply better 99% of time and will net you far more kills. Only true TF2 veterans remember the term "RAGE" heavy.
Good players tend to spam sniper in TF2 because it is far more mechanically interesting compared to braindead explosive classes and even scunt. Same reason spys dominate pubs even tough spy is the worst class in game.

Sniper hate threads like these are just shitters making excuses for their shortcomings.
A good heavy, soldier, demo can and does pubstomp much harder than a sniper of equal skill can ever hope to.
Where are the threads for those classes effortlessly going on 50 killing sprees?
