See, I would have made this a prequel to all DK games and made K. Rool some ancient Conqueror that got himself and his crew trapped by the "mother core". Then have DK fight whateve entity is guarding the core, unintenitonally releasing K.Rool, who becomes the final boss in a "Kremling Land" final world.
