The locations match one really specific trailer shot, the lower quality shadow seems really specific to fake, and the Banandium Root deal seems really specific in conjunction with a small part of it being seen in the trailer. If it's fake, someone did a lot of homework.

It's the enemy screenshots that seem to take this from convincing to really hard to debunk. They seem just unremarkable enough to be strange as fakes, and if the entire images were rendered they would have had to nail recreating the DK and Pauline models as well. That is tougher than just making Rare enemy models.

Bowser is an asshole, but he's mostly about boosting his ego, wanting to appear more powerful, and getting his hard-on with Peach.
