I hope K. Rool in Smash means whatever Nintendo autism that was preventing his return has been dispelled and not just another case of Sakurai being the only one allowed to break the rules. I doubt it's a hard and fast rule either, I think it's probably just a case of nobody at Nintendo ever being willing to rock the boat, even over something as simple as Miyamoto saying "I don't like him" at some point in the past.
And I'm glad you brought up Hulk because part of why I'm looking forward to this game is because I'm hoping it will fill the Ultimate Destruction shaped hole in my heart.
