I kinda hope not either and I would much prefer things being more diagetic in that case. Like my theory for the weird route is that the SOUL already knows the prophecy so the Weird Route is the ludonarrative way of conveying it not wanting to adhere to it. You can conflate that with the player being told that the game has only one ending and how they both technically went nuclear the second they could when they thought they weren't free, and you really don't need to permanently stain the game by it going "I know what you did" after you do that route to accomplish that.
