/mlp/con's Gamejam is two months away! (approximately) And this time round we'll do something simple, but different; Anons will get to choose the theme!
That's right! (You)'ll be able to suggest the Jam prompt and fellow anons will vote on it!
Be sure to sound convincing! As there'll be multiple voting periods
Here's how it'll work:
Prompts will be gathered from May 16 to the 28th
On May 29 the first voting period will start, featuring all non-shitpost suggestions. This voting period will end on June 5th
Last voting round between the top three [Or two, depending on the results] suggestions will be held from June 6th to June 13th.
Afterwards, the game jam will start proper
All dates are GMT-6
You better behave anons, Contard here will have to go through all your suggestions, you wouldn't want to upset her, would you?
------------------------
For the Jam itself...
NO SKILL LEVEL REQUIRED! ALL SUBMISSIONS WELCOME!
I'll admit, last one could've gone better. But I've learned from my mistakes! So, this time there'll be a few changes on how we do things:
>Devs will have a little more time to submit their games
>Late submissions are still accepted! But not guaranteed to be showcased on stream, on time submissions will take priority. (They will, however, be mentioned. As well as added to the game jam page)
>Each game will be showcased an average of ten minutes. This depends on the game however, if the entirety of the game takes place on a single screen and can be fully completed in three minutes, its time may be shorter than 10 minutes.
Also, I recognize I was too drunk last time, I need a somewhat clear head for this. So, I'll cut back
If you're thinking of participating, please sign up! I'm aware that not everyone that signs up is able to submit a game, and that's okay! But I need an idea of what I'll be working with for the panel, and for that I'll need a heads-up in the number of potential games in the jam!
