TBC was the start of the downfall
Adding arena in, then people whining about balance is what started it all
Druid class balance before:

The fact that WOTLK made it even worse doesnt mean anything to me, just that TBC started it (Added arena in, focused class balance on it rather than BGs)
TBC being lauded as the best expansion is a joke, its a horrible mismatch of ideas from classic RPGs and modernized convenience, it does neither well and ends up in a totally akward position
You can see it in the first dungeons you enter, they have become just as tunnel like like as they were in WTLK, no soul like BRD or UBRS/LBRS, just a tunnel and at the end a boss with loot, its trash
