(We) aren't the Angel, the characters themselves might *think* we are but we aren't. We're a demon, Gaster, the guy covered in Devil references brought us into this as an outside force. Even in Undertale, Frisk/We weren't the "Angel meant to free the underground" It was either Asriel or Chara depending on if you do Pacifist or Genocide. We aren't the one that actually "frees" them, we just set the stage for someone else to. This will continue in Deltarune, with us, The Player, being confused as the Angel but it actually being somebody or something else.
