I'm kinda wondering if all sides involved are trying to stop/usurp the prophecy in their own self-sacrificial way. Even the knight/kris, cause Kris cares about his friends but is carrying a lot of weight and keeping it hidden from them. Ralsei's trying to be distant about it in a "Let me do it and you guys can live happily ever after" kinda way. Susie's in denial about the whole thing. Weird route is implied to be a "Forbidden Path". I'm getting a hunch that all roads lead to "Stop the Prophecy" but they may all end up failing.
Unless our connection to the game is a means of finally crossing that step.
