Since you're all so well socialized. Do you think it'd be weird to ask one of my Japanese friends if he/she would be willing to record him/herself reading aloud from a book and send it to me as an audio file to listen to repeatedly for immersion?
I listen to a lot of stuff, but I notice whenever I talk to one of my friends, I'm like 100x more attentive whereas when I listen to a pure podcast or whatever, my attention often drifts off into nothingness and I don't even notice until a minute later or so that I haven't been listening.

Nothing else has looked this good all year.
