Pretty good reading anon. Yes, i struggle a lot understanding why the lack of balance. When I said simple, I meant that the way i see a relationship is two people working for the same ideal. Yet I often find that there is always a sense of egotistim, where people prioritize themselves for some goal at the moment, disregarding what's best for both.

To name an anecdotal example, not the reason for my query but I suppose it illustrates my point. I once was with this girl that adored me or well, allegedly, I was in a long term relationship, already living with her for a year. This was at a point in life where was to be moving to a more eh, blue collar city for a more than substantial increase on income, even more than what we made combined.- and with housing basically paid by the company, she wouldn't have to work if she didnt want to. It was clearly an improvement, yet she asked me to just move myself and.to vist on my days off, because she didn't like the city compared to where we lived at the time. I stressed out that if we were going to have a family in the future, that there was no better option - still she was reluctant, she wanted to stay close to her family. So i broke up with her.

Again, this isn't why I ask, maybe she was immature or maybe I was wrong. My confusion stems from the inability to compromise for what's best for the relationship. This example is just personally one of many, but I also.see.it in other people's relationships. Like everyone wants to be still each for its own and its just baffling. Not to mention cheating, poly relationships and the whole shebang of decisions ill.never understand lol.
