I can't agree. A fragment of Dess ran up to the Dreemurr house and kidnapped Undyne? As a theory, it's technically possible, but it would be totally unsatisfying for the narrative.

The whole point is that it's supposed to be one of the Lightners, with the player trying to solve the mystery using available clues. Any copout answer like "it was Dess!" (or Gaster, or anyone else that we haven't met yet) or "it was magic!" is not going to be the answer. That's my honest opinion.
