You're not entirely wrong, but they certainly pump out merchandise like they are a kids show and the creator behind the show is aware of a child audience while not exactly condeming that fact. People also seem to forget that kids have peer groups and show eachother stuff. So even if there is a responsible parent who makes sure their kid does not watch it they will likely watch it anyway if their friend group has acess (which they almost certainly do)
