I'm more angry by how much I got gaslit by fags (and especially women). Manga is usually my go-to format as I always feel like the adaptation is inherently inferior to the source material and the Demon Slayer manga was so trash. The art itself is very bad in many places and the rare few times it's not terrible, it's (barely) subpar at best. Koyoharu Gotouge cannot for the life of them convey fluid motion and use paneling to guide the reader's eyes which is VERY crucial when drawing an action manga. It's very telling that the author makes up for their inability to draw fights with all those excessive VFX/SFX overlapping the actual fight (like all these stupid crescent moons on picrel).

Demon Slayer also uses coping essays to explain the action that the art fails to convey because the author can't communicate the action through their art. You'd have no idea what’s happening in half these panels without the dialogue narrating it like a fucking audiobook.

I'm under the impression that the author is insecure about their art. Compared to a lot of other mangaka, Koyoharu Gotouge is not a good artist. Even compared to Gege Akutami, Koyoharu Gotouge is a very bad artist because while Gege's art too is ugly, Gege has a solid understanding on paneling/composition flow. He actually understands that manga is at its core a sequential medium. I'm actually angered how this slop managed to sell 150M copies, but I guess that's the power of Ufotable and Unlimited Budget Works. This manga is unironically so trash, I seriously think I can do better than that.
