I want the Solar auxilia to get more varied infantry choices. Currently we get to pick between basic infantry with lasguns, basic infantry minding rapiers, elite infantry with volkite/flamers/axes and Ogryn.

I know those weirdoes from Saturnine are holding out on us.

Charging out of dracosans is nice but it means you're spending like, 500 points on a less durable land raider filled with T3 W1 4+ bodies who die to anything stronger than small arms fire and will only ever get 1 charge with their power axes.

Your probably better off continuing to hide them honestly. Accept whatever turn 1 charge bullshit marines deliver you then counter attack with the axemen.

Or just do the same thing with Charonites way more effectively and let the Veletarii stick to CHOOMing line infantry off of objectives. They even give you VP for that now. Drop them out of a pig somewhere unpleasant turn 2 as a ghetto deepstrike.
