I've had the same Debian installed for seven years now and admittedly there were sometimes problems. But even as a newbie I could fix them. One time after updating drivers by getting them from Nvidia's site they were probably incompatible with the kernel version or something. Therefore no init file was generated as an updated version. But it could all be fixed by just googling shit and learning. You only need a couple of commands to be comfortable in nothing but the terminal and fix shit because the error messages are very exact and verbose. Instead of the typical rage inducing "oops, something went wrong :(" that big corporations use to infantilize their users.

Right now I got like driver version 570 in my 4070 TiSu. My distro of choice is slow in updating their packages but whatever because stuff just works and it stays out of your way.
