Yeah, and I'm saying that sucking, making the same obvious pick anyone would make, then continuing to suck does not indicate a top tier front office since that's what literally anyone could and often does do.
Wake me up when the Spurs are actually good. And wash your stinky brown hands, I can smell the curry from here

>players whine about their contracts incessantly
>give them what they ask for
>they miss lots of games and lose in the playoffs
Yeah I'm with Jerry on this once. You wanted top of the market money and you got it, maybe produce some results now

I buy old movies on blu-ray because I'm not opposed to spending moderate amounts of money on things I think are actually good. But I want the money to be targeted. I want them to see that I wanted this exact thing, and not just nebulous buffet of things I both like and hate

The difference between an owner and player is that the owners, greedy, selfish and megalomaniacal pricks that they may be, at least can be counted on to do the absolute bare minimum required of them. There's no owner equivalent of Ben Simmons where the guy just doesn't do what he's supposed to do. The owners aren't bouncing checks, forgetting to pay the stadium lighting bill or supply the concession stands or any shit like that. Their job is to pay people and last I checked, the players are getting paid, the GMs are getting paid, everyone down to the janitors is getting paid, and they're getting paid what they agreed to.
The owners are holding up their end of the bargain. Are the players? Ballmer pays Kawhi 100% of the time. What % of the games does Kawhi play? Ishiba pays Beal 100% of his agreed salary with no excuses or exceptions. Does Beal play 100% of the games? Does he at least give 100% effort when he *does* play?
The players and owners are all rich. I don't sympathize with either group. But only one side consistently fails to do what they're supposed to do and it's not the owners
