But with Ellie i feel like if she actually follows his advice - and that's a big if, hopefully - she'll literally ruin her life.
Film school is shit degree, but his advice was not don't go to film school. It was don't get a college degree at all and start working a minimum wage job instead. It would make sense for like 30 year old guy with no credentials who's thinking of going into debt to get a degree, but it absolutely does not make sense for 18 year old with stellar high school record who can get a college education for free.
Jesus christ Jet just groom her into fucking you in exchange for some light exposure, no need to actively fuck her over like this.
