Nevertheless i'll give the devil what's due: the niche pulseaudio fills is to load multiple sound servers at once, as in you may need jack for a single application and use the alsa backend on everything else, maybe you need to use oss for an old ass game, etc... I don't know what usecase pipewire is ment to fill though and whatever it is why couldn't be integrated in pulseaudio is another can of worms probably.
