I've been feeling like a robot lately, as if I'm functioning entirely on inertia. I feel detached from everything and everyone, and it gets worse by the day. There are so many versions of me that I no longer know my true face.
Last week, after a friend told me he was depressed and anxious, I went home and started thinking about him. As I felt tears running down my face, I realized it was just another act of pretending—and I simply stopped crying.

I read the book, and the story's whole identity is based around it taking place in Italy and dealing with mafia kidnappings.
Why even pay a license in the first place if you change it enough that you wouldn't be sued anyway?

>company hires a manager
>literally every developer could tell this guy was just a snake oil salesman
>boss starts getting into bureaucracy bullshit with the higher ups
>no longer in touch with projects and day to day work
>manager eventually starts giving us more responsibilities under the pretense of "ownership"
>daily, retro, kpi, useless data left and right
>everyone from product is absolutely clueless
>literally the only people that actually have to respect procedures are developers
>developing anything is slow as a snail
>constant requirement changes, zero organization, masked as "agile" and "adaptability"
>years later the mess is even begger but instead of our boss we have some midwit in charge who nobody knows what he even does 8h a day
