Giant Robots aren't an alien concept, not even sure why this meme is being pushed when Battletech/Mechwarrior, Pacific Rim and Titanfall are popular franchises, Megas XLR remains a cult classic and Gundam and Mazinger are always super relevant especially in europe, we just don't have that many high quality mech games in general being released and that's it.
