I wouldn't exactly call Punisher a hero. He's a vigilante. One of the messages the comics keeps saying is "don't be like the Punisher." He's kind of a pariah in the Marvel universe, the Avengers or the other superheroes don't really want to associate with him.

i see kids wearing Batman, Superman, and Spiderman stuff. I never see kids wearing Punisher stuff. Punisher is popular with alt right types, gun nuts, and cops.
