They bought into the "anime = pedophilia" Xittertard logic. They've also got some 30+ ex-Snoy roastie apparently in charge of third-party relations now. Look up Hannah Foell.

"Height/face shape/eye size of consent" originated with Xitter tard "discourse" and is now starting to be enforced by major platforms. They want to kill moe and anime art styles completely and annihilate anything otaku. Unless your anime character has wrinkles, "beauty marks" or other explicit indicators of being of age, she runs the risk of running afoul of this because anime art styles tend to inherently portray girls as youthful and attractive unless needed otherwise.

Nintendo is doing the same thing now, too. They're basically moving to soft-ban petite anime girls of any kind. This outcome became inevitable the moment saying the character was 18 no longer was enough. If it's not about them being underage, it's about if they "look" underage, which leads to ridiculous scenarios like this, especially when it comes to anime art styles which always portray girls as youthful except when needed otherwise. And we know women and trannies have very strong opinions on what they consider "underage" these days.

>Valve has never once hinted that payment processors are breathing down their neck.
This doesn’t mean it’s not the case. Nintendo hasn’t explicitly said so either, but they’ve gotten more censorious around the same thing - see picrel. We figured it out mostly from developer and publisher statements. They also restricted foreign cards from accessing the JP e-shop.
>Not to mention they already have private currency akin to DLSite points
People will not want to use points to buy the new normie title. Steam can’t geoblock like DLsite can since it’s an American platform. Steam isn’t going to give up VISA/Mastercard processing for their entire store, ever.
Please note anons that I’m not trying to defend Steam or the situation. Censorship fucking sucks. If you want to fight the censorship, it’s important to understand what’s actually driving companies to make these decisions.

And in case you need a better example of where this rhetoric is pointing towards, look no further than Nintendo now demanding changes to the very art styles of Japanese and anime-style games because ridiculous things like eye shape and head size are now enough to trigger their cuteness aggression and label it CP. You must stop this shit at the root. The lolis and flatties must be argued for, because once they go, the standards used to persecute them will then be weaponized against everything else.

Marvelous is not a big publisher. The problem is pic related, and there was an interview a while back where they said they had to age up one of the bachelors, likely because of this. You won't be getting any more candidates like Amber while they're still targeting Switch. Hell, I'm not confident Disagea 7 Complete will even release either because Disgaea is still full of pre-Covid Japan character designs like Etna. Nintendo, much like Steam, is acting like any even PG moe/loli content is literally illegal.

Now that games on the Switch 2 are going to be censored from now on, it's time to suggest better alternatives. Come and buy a Steam Deck, and play all your games uncensored.
>inb4 people say steam censors games
In those cases, you don't have to get games from the Steam storefront. DLsite, torrents and GoG work perfectly with the Deck.

>gotta love the constant goalpost moving from ironic weebs
Are you SERIOUSLY trying to deny that Gal Guardians is tame compared to Gal*Gun? Just the premise is enough; Gal*Gun has the ecchi elements front-and-center as part of the whole humorous premise, whereas with Gal Guardians it's nothing more than light flavoring on what is otherwise a fairly standard classicvania/metroidvania game.
>and when someone points out picrel or bunny garden exists you will just cry its not loli
Loli is objectively getting censored on almost every front, and extremely hard; to deny this is pure delusion. The last time qureate had game with a loli-like character (Duel Princess), it got banned from Steam and pulled from the Nintendo e-shop globally, this again despite having an official M-rating. They have never put a character like that in their games since. Bunny Garden is the manifestation of that "cautiousness" or perhaps cowardice depending on your view. Every character has the same big tiddy wide hips body type. Japanese games usually have a decent split of tiddies and flatties, but this wave of censorship targeting lolis and flatties is clearly pushing them towards only making "approved" body types that won't potentially be flagged by a jealous roastie or tranny as "underage". In other words, a chilling effect in action, directly caused by the constant censorship of more petite body types. Nintendo themselves are pushing this; they even go as far as to measure eye and face shape and demand changes to the very art style if they think it makes characters "look underage". Even Kanon fell afoul of this and had to undergo heavy butchering for its western Switch release so as to not compromise on the character designs. It doesn't take a fucking genius to see where this is pushing the Japs. They're basically moving to soft-ban petite body types and moe art styles ala Australia.

It probably won't even release. Screencap this; Nintendo will ban it over Etna and/or some other pre-Covid Japanese character design and they'll be forced to bring the Playstation versions over instead. This pattern will repeat until developers just piss on Nintendo and they end up losing all their third-party support like they did in the 90s.
