I hate raider fags for elevating the popularity of Mr Ozma, he might be a kind, decent guy I'm not shitting on him as a person but as a battle designer I'm evaluating his work. His work is very focused towards high end, hard Savage raiding and above encounter design.

Which ordinarily isn't a problem, except he is given the task of encounter design for the 24 man chaotic was originally supposed to be no harder than a 1st Extreme and it turned into a Savage.

He did the same with Criterion, the normal Criterion (not the variant) was supposed to be no harder than Extreme difficulty for 4 players but he added in mechanics that made it Savage difficulty and in some cases harder because you only had 1 healer therefore it some mechanics were even harder than the current raid tier Criterion was released against.

Then we come to Fork Tower, which is meant to be a dungeon boss run at the end of the big grind. No resources left to develop a Normal mode so Mr Ozma designed only a Savage version for the tiny percentage of the player base that hate themselves enough to bang their heads against the wall repeatedly against this kind of difficulty especially in what is meant to be a bit more chill content, a bit easier, a bit less challenging.
