The entire scenario is either:
a. some trannoid imagining a situation with a parental figure not blindly accepting their status and lifestyle
b. a trannoid projecting a real life event where they attacked a parent for either not understanding, accepting or hating their special status and mental deterioration

You know what? Thats fine, but they use a fantasy world for a franchise thats dying rather than creating something new. They string people along who are somehow still invested in this world in the hopes that 15 years of plotlines and buildup will pay off. But at the end of the day they DESTROYED the Dragon Age franchise. The only hope now is it being sold off to people who care who also openly declare anything after Origins as non-canon.
