He would have five years at most; in 2023 and 4 both Steam and Nintendo started banning even censored versions of Vita games. The reason Takaki did not continue is because he saw the writing on the wall. His peers likely thought similarly, judging by how they reacted. There is no way around it; for devs to feel comfortable making games like these again, they must be given actual assurance (in the form of legal leverage) that they will not get the rug pulled on them like this again. You must push for legislation to restrict these platforms ability to censor or deny games. No one is going to make a new console, and no storefront can compete with Steam's monopoly. It is the only option.

You'll have to find a way to beat Sony, Nintendo and Valve into submission, because they're the main ones keeping these games from coming westward, when they allow them to release at all.

You can try some other Compile Heart games like Mary Skelter and Omega Quintet (be warned that Mary Skelter 2 is censored on Steam, but there's a patch that's easy to apply). Otherwise, yes, that's it. These kinds of games largely stopped being made after Snoystation pulled the rug on them. Compile Heart games past 2020 are all extremely neutered, Marvelous dropped Senran completely, Inti Creates made a remake of the first Gal*Gun and then relegated it to spinoff fodder, Shade made one more neutered game (Samurai Maidens) and then folded, D3Publisher got a leash put on them by DEI-compromised Bandai Namco and are now just an Earth Defense Force machine, Aquaplus nearly went under, got bought out, and are now in the process of being sold off AGAIN, etc. Literally all that's left is qureate and even they may be starting to compromise.
>The Moero games (Censored IIRC)
Moero Chronicle is on Steam and is not censored IIRC. Moero Crystal is only on Switch and Vita. Same with Seven Pirates. Castle Panzers is doomed to forever be a JP-only PS4 exclusive after Tokyo Clanpool got raped.

This is the biggest obstacle to a Senran revival. Even if they're interested, there's not much they can do about the fact that every single major platform is actively hostile to games like it now. Takaki predicted this, which is why he gave up. Steam has gotten so bold they have zero reservations about fucking over one of the single most popular gacha games worldwide backed by a major Korean megacorp that they even have a working relationship with, they would dunk on Marvelous without a second thought.

You whip Sony, Valve and Nintendo execs until they promise to stop being fags and rescind their anti-Japanese censorship guidelines so the Japs can compete on an even playing field again. Or you just keep the reporting the chinkshit to Google/Apple until they completely nuke fanservice gachas off their stores. I genuinely want to see how the chinks will react to the same level of deplatforming the Japs have been going through. Because they've been getting off easy so far.

For about 5 years, then they would have turned on her even worse than Sony did. Takaki saw the writing on the wall and decided it wasn't worth it.

>People actually think Senran Kagura is going to revive on this piece of shit.
Takaki was right not to trust them.

>Senran Kagura didn't because Marvelous are retards
No, they didn't because Takaki predicted (correctly) that the censorship would not stay contained to Sony/Playstation and that every viable platform would soon adopt similar guidelines. So he saw no point trying to switch platforms just to have the rug pulled on him again down the line. Judging by how other otaku moe/fanservice game developers reacted as well (either neutering their content across the board or just not making such games altogether), his sentiment was shared by his peers.

Microsoft started this bullshit well before anyone else, but they barely dented these games as they were already largely on PS3/Vita by the time they started. When Sony pulled the rug, however, almost all games of this type were affected as they were all on Playstation.
