How did Marvel end up completely mogging DC vidya wise?

Marvel had the edge in the 90s and 2000s with the PS1 and PS2 Spider-Man games, as well as the Vs Capcom games.
Then you had the Arkham and Injustice games whilst Marvel went to shit in the late 2000s/first half of 2010s.
Then since Spider-Man 2018 it has been one way domination.
