Does that necessarily stop at artificial structures?
Should I not be able to shoot someone attacking a 20 year old tree? If they kill it, I'll never sleep in it's shade. What about a 10 year old tree?
What about a 9 year old tree? 8? 7? 6? 5? 4? 3? 2? 1?
What about a blade of grass?
What if they kick the dirt?
Where is they line and why?

I think it's easier to just say you can defend your entire property and trespassing can be met with death. It is taught not to trespass on property that's not yours.
