>bragging about how the company he works for is replacing low skilled data entry workers years before ChatGPT was a thing
I used to do "medium skilled data entry" work (traversing networks with cisco cli 'cdp neighbor' and recording device info to smartsheet or spreadsheet) and I automated my own damn job with Python. I had something working by the end of week 2 on the job (and I had never touched Python before this job). It was peak comfy especially since covid hit a month in and I essentially 'worked' by running a script that did my job for me and i would intentionally postpone submitting my results and 'hard work' to make them think i was doing the tasks manually like a good boy dumbass
After ~3 years of working just a few hours a week (literally just moving my mouse, running a script, responding to teams messages, submitting 'work') I came clean to my boss, told him it was getting really fucking boring and not challenging enough, gave them a portolio of scripts i wrote to do my job for me with explanation and their response was to almost double my pay and move me to a solution development team

>he didnt stockpile company secrets (like root passwords and tokens) locally
this is what needs to be done in case of mass tech layoffs desu
i dont think the credentials i have are still good from my last job, they were a pretty big company and pretty keen on replacing passwords every 6 months
