Apple is too aggressive with their swapping, continiously using the 8gb of memory will destroy your (soldered) ssd in a 2 or 3 years, luckily around the time apple introduces a new macbook, so perhaps you don't mind making the change for a few extra bucks

Every time you use free and open-source software, you’re effectively testing it for someone else. If you’re a good samaritan and want the software to improve, you’ll report bugs and/or contribute fixes. Good luck doing that with closed software.
Maybe (((OP’s))) true agenda isn’t to attack a particular distribution, but to push people toward using proprietary software.
