Is kratom addiction as "bad" as heroin addiction?

Or is he just remembering all of the bad things he's done in his life? I'm going through withdrawals right now, and I am leaning on the latter.

Does it really get better when you quit? Or do you just fall back into the same depression that brought you to use drugs in the first place?
