Yes, Insane in that because its another made up Anti-Nintendo story. Its physically impossible for Nintendo to unban a console after removing it from their service because Nintendo doesn't have a direct line to said system of the console once they log the console through a filter and completely cut it from their service. In order for him to get his system "unbricked" he would have sent it in to Nintendo for them to replace with a new system.
