I can't help but think these things aren't really funny board contests anymore but instead just these big autistic hype machines that are built upon meta, prior years, and drama.
I dunno, I wish they were more like those old squilliam collages with a voting tab instead of some insane event that has an alt-chan, outside board recruitment, discords, a wiki, etc.
