Uh oh. This looks like a bad omen.
I know most people on /a/ don’t put stock in superstitions, but I don’t know…
Watching that stray cat casually take a dump on the pile of Deku merch at the Jump Festa booth and then apathetically walk away disgusted is… interesting, to say the least.
It’s almost as if God Himself was repulsed and infuriated by this travesty (which makes sense, since Deku is basically the reddit Jesus of capeshit shonen), so He sent a sign of His divine disapproval via nature.
This doesn’t bode well for HeroAca’s next season. Personally, it doesn’t matter, because I already resolved not to support this overhyped corpse on principle.
I don’t even consider myself a colossal Kagurabachi fanboy, but you can easily tell Chihiro’s mangaka actually gives a damn about telling a raw, unfiltered story, forging his own legend instead of milking tired tropes until the ink runs dry.
I’m standing with the Kagurabachi enjoyers and refusing to hand Horikoshi’s committee-driven, merch-chasing zombie any more of my attention.
It’s painfully obvious HeroAca’s editors don’t respect shonen or its spirit anymore unless they can water it down for Funko sales, ship wars, and endless spin-offs.
Stay mad, Dekucucks. The blade never lies.
