>>"I think Ninja Gaiden II is already outdated," Hayashi told Play.
He was right. 3 wasn't it but 3RE greatly improved a lot of systems and it's only faults are leftovers from the original 3 but the bad parts are 3 aren't too different from the bad parts of 1 and 2, at least in gameplay.

He was overly ambitious with the story for a character nobody needed but unironically he was ahead of the curve when god of war did something similar in the soft reboot. Not saying it's a good thing just funny how he tried to do it first

No one ever mentions how if you wanted to nerf UT then the only 2 things you would need to do is
>Stop the player from being able to charge to level 3, lvl 2 should be the max without essence
>Player can't hold charge indefinitely, the UT will come out after a certain period at max level
Also, if you're on the mind that essence should exist then killing with UT should not reward more essence.

>Ninja Gaiden Black/Sigma 1
Fantastic gameplay, Soulful graphics. Memorable locations. Light adventure elements are fun. Higher difficulties that dont just change enemies but ADD new ones! A game that's designed around you starting fresh each time.
Only real fault are some pretty awful bosses and gameplay that can be easily cheesed, though this being the first entry it's more forgivable. Sigma also has the rachel segments which suck
>Ninja Gaiden 2
An attempt at ramping everything up from the first game with major downsides. Adventure elements are gone and most of the levels are ugly and unremarkable, really only the first level being visually interesting. Combat feels much less methodical as the game spams so many enemies at you while making UTs better and longer which makes it clear that the best strategy is to abuse UT as much as possible, while in NG1 you didn't need to rely on it. Delimb system gets old very quickly and doesn't add anything other than a situation i-frame. Bosses have almost all gotten worse. That being said all of the weapons have really fun movesets and it's a big step up from NG1s weapon selection.
>Ligma 2
More of a remix. Less enemies with more health almost mimic NG1s design but UT and delimb spam still make the game trivial.
>NG3RE
Skipping over OG 3 because it's not worth it. 3RE is an attempt at trying to fix some of the issues of NG, essence no longer exists which means no instant UT looping. Enemies are extremely aggressive and evasive which makes players have to understand and master the games systems in order to efficiently defeat enemies. A real scoring system is implemented that actually gives the game tons of replay value. The movesets are even more improved and designed to be super smooth. Story and locations are still lackluster but the game feels like a genuine evolution.

A true NG fan can appreciate all 3 games but only an absolute faggot considers NG2 to be good or "the peak"
