It's spyware. It uses manifest v3 which is confirmed google telemetry spyware and Brave phones phone to fingerprint you and there's no way to turn it off.

The better idea is not to use Brave because it was found by privacy researchers to have high levels on telemetry on top of being based on Manifest V3 which is confirmed google spyware that makes it impossible to turn off browser fingerprinting from ad companies that track you across the web.

Privacy experts already reviewed Brave with a packet sniffer and found that it's filled with telemetry that cannot be disabled. Plus it's based on Manifest V3 which is literal google spyware that prevents you from stopping fingerprinting and blocking telemetry.

Anything is better than anything that uses Chrome and manifestv3 like Brave. Brave is spyware.

Brave uses Manifest V3 because it's hardcoded into the engine. Manifest V3 was specifically coded to make it harder to prevent addons from blocking fingerprinting, so Brave can't be trusted anymore ever since Manifest V3. Brave has a lot of telemetry spyware issues.
