Old and minted middle class men from York trying to pay less tax. State of crime in this country, with much of it fuelled by alcohol. We are not getting enough tax from alcohol and tobacco to reimburse crime, health and damage caused by it. That's a sad fact. I say hike it, get fewer people consuming this addictive drug, change the culture to treat this like the class a drug it should have been. Can't even smoke a harmless plant but you can drink this nasty stuff.

And Ruth's dad wants to pay even less tax. Every person in that news article is either greedy, bad at running a pub or is being extorted by suppliers. Alcohol costs the NHS, police and councils billions every year. It's like these people don't realise realise how bad and rundown England is outside of their expensive cities.

Look at this bullshit. Got on the news again. Trying to avoid paying tax. Her dad is making a fortune running all these York pubs. It's not COVID anymore. Business is booming in York. It's a tourist hotspot.
