Y'know what in context that makes a lot of sense. DD kind of built Distorting up as a sense of too much stress overwhelming you via the students during test week and the laundromat turning hapless victims with nobody who cared for them into new people with different skins. It's getting more and more complicated to really summarize how distorting truly works at this point but I think you've got the right idea.
