You could probably write a whole ass thesis and documentary on the spaghetti code of XIV at this point.

>just tons and tons and tons of shit thrown on top for a game that was never supposed to be as big as WoW, from a JP company that was still in an old mindset of online games being rather disposable
>probably metric fucktons of things stapled onto the engine over the past decade+ to try to grow and stabilize it, the graphics update likely has miles of fuckery
>the game was designed with netcode entirely focused around JP, so if you play anywhere else in the world your ping and the snapshotting is entirely variable
>also XVI probably used their build of the engine supposedly that got built upon from what they already had, not entirely sure though
Tencent and Lightspeed making this all on UE4 by importing the assets over and rebuilding shit from the ground up in a more modern and modular engine is probably a godsend compared to CBU3 dealing with this shit. They genuinely just should not be trying to manhandle Crystal Tools into this chimeric abomination its become.

Because in the last 10 years she is one of the very few characters who had the WoLs back unconditionally and has suffered more for it than most. Best Baldesion inn scene.
