Ash has a literal ghost that can travel through shadows and rip your soul.
It really depends on the team and cards and how much you want to scale both to lore to be fair

By feats on-screen Ash should be equal or above Yugi since his Pokémon do have more physical feats, Heracross can stop and flip a tank, others are just stronger and faster with more varied moves and as far as I know we don't really know how most of Yugi's monsters scale without using lore and rules.
Not that it matters since they will probably use Shounen Force scaling that puts him at FTL
