Most vtubers are pretty much what people who don't know about vtubers expect them to be (e.g. twitch whores).
Hololive vtubers are moreso just personalities though, as their entire thing is being identical to Japanese idol groups which become cheap advertisement for great rewards. It's why they're appearing in everything and are even having a part two for their Dodger's collab in two weeks.
Not to say you should watch them but that it isn't a case of them streaming and suddenly being told to do songs with Disney or collabs with sports teams, or in this case: Working with Kojimbo.
